Since the 1st of August 2019, the Aerobridge training process is now available through AIRDAT Passport.

Your companies Aerobridge Trainer is to take the following steps. There will no longer be a requirement to complete and attach an application form with either initial or renewal licensing.

Initial Aerobridge training:

The user enrols into Aerobridge Operator – Initial by selecting ‘Train me’ on their Dashboard and selecting Choose courseContinue and Confirm booking. Once completed, click on Launch (How to enrol and launch eLearning) and create a new link to Litmos (Link to a new Litmos account - this only needs to be completed once per user). Click ‘Start the course’.

The company trainer must supply a completed practical assessment or one that has been approved by Melbourne Airport. Once completed, the practical assessment must be sent to Aerobridge.Training@melair.com.au - identifying the operators name and AIRDAT ID/ASIC. Once both the Aerobridge Operator – Initial and Aerobridge Operator – Practical (Competency Assessment) are visible in Passport under the users qualifications, the Aerobridge License can be collected from Security Services during operating hours. The company administrator has the ability to search for their employees and view their qualification history and expiry information.
